ANCONA: The Babylonian Talmud Translation Project: Humanism and Technology in support of intercultural dialogue
On Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 5 p.m., the event was held at the Mole Vanvitelliana in Ancona:
“Humanism and Technology in support of Intercultural Dialogue.”
Aiming to delve into the strong link between the individual and the machine, a necessary union for the development of a new model of citizenship and knowledge in the global context, the meeting was the perfect opportunity to answer the question, “How can technology be supportive in the translation of such extraordinary knowledge as what is contained in the Babylonian Talmud?”
The event was deepened by the participation of:
Rav Riccardo Di Segni, Chief Rabbi of Rome and President of the Babylonian Talmud Translation Project; Paolo Marasca, Councillor for Culture for the Municipality of Ancona; Marco Ascoli Marchetti, Vice President of the Jewish Community of Ancona; David Dattilo, Research and Development Babylonian Talmud Translation Project and YESHIVA’ Project Manager; and Roberto Lambertini, Professor of Medieval History at the University of Macerata.
