Presentation 4th Edited Treatise: Qiddushin – City of Matera
On November 28 at 10:30 a.m., thanks to the collaboration with the Sassi Foundation and the Patronage of Matera 2019 – Open Future, the Babylonian Talmud Translation Project in Italian has been invited to present the latest edited treatise, Qiddushìn, as part of the European Year of Culture.
In the context of the presentation, aspects and implications of the application of software in more specific areas will be addressed, in addition to the opportunities offered by Italian Research for young people who would like to pursue paths of study towards new technologies. Often the world of innovation is not seen as a useful tool for combating discrimination. The Babylonian Talmud Translation Project in this perspective is considered as a “best practice” in the area of new technologies applied to culture, as a basis for fostering fruitful dynamics of dialogue and inclusion. This is in line with the Italian government’s ongoing commitment to the protection of cultural heritage, consistent most recently with Security Council Resolution 2347/17, which, adopted at Italy’s initiative, recognized the need to protect cultural heritage precisely for the purpose of preserving the historical memory, traditions and civilization of peoples.
Talmud Project Director Prof. Clelia Piperno, Dr. Michael Dollinar Digital Solution Manager and Dr. David Dattilo Senior Operation Engineering will speak.
